Jim Talley has served as a field representative since May 1, 1993. A Georgia native, he led the Lawrenceville and Doraville (Pleasantdale) congregations in relocating and building new facilities as well as serving as senior pastor at Dalton (Crosspointe). He also served as state evangelism and home missions director, on the state youth board, state evangelism board and state council. Challenges Facing Veteran Missionaries Unprecedented
Jim Talley, liaison from Church of God world missions to Georgia, writes: “The world has never needed the Gospel more than today. Over 2 billion souls (1 of 3) in the world have never heard the name of Jesus. Another 2 billion have heard but are still in terrible bondage. Millions who claim Christ as Lord are in desperate need of nurturing and discipleship training. And yet the financial challenges of keeping veteran missionaries on the field is unprecedented. Every organization and para-church group involved with missionaries is affected, (with no exceptions) including Church of God World Missions.”
There are four veteran Church of God missionaries who almost 100 years of accumulative sacrificial service that are natives of the great state of Georgia. They are listed below:
